How it works

Same board for everyone. Resets at midnight.

  1. 01

    Pick your board

Choose a 3x3, 4x4, or 5x5 grid of sentences with missing vocabulary words.

  2. 02

    Read the context clues

Grammar, tone, and collocation all point to the missing word — deduce it from the sentence around it.

  3. 03

    Beat the tile timers

Blue corner tiles give you 30 seconds, yellow edge tiles 20, and red center tiles just 10.

Learning words inside real sentences teaches grammar, tone, and collocation far better than rote definition memorization. Because the puzzle resets every day, it works well as a short learning ritual for students and test-prep learners. Pair with Vocabulary and Anagrams.

Tomorrow’s board won’t wait.

Next board in --:--:--. Squeeze today’s in while you can.

Yes. Everyone gets the exact same context clue puzzle on the same day, so you can compare scores and share results on an even playing field.

Most 3x3 boards take around 2 minutes. The daily format is designed to be quick enough for a morning study break or daily vocabulary ritual.

Can I choose different board sizes?

Yes. You can play a fast 3x3 board, or test yourself with 4x4 or 5x5 boards when you want more repetitions in one puzzle.

How do tile timers work?

Each colored tile on the board has its own time limit: Blue tiles give you 30 seconds, Yellow tiles give you 20 seconds, and Red center tiles give you 10 seconds.
