How to Play Anagrams: A Daily Unscramble Challenge
Anagrams combines spelling, vocabulary recall, and a short timer. The letters tell you what can be built; the clue tells you which word to build.
Every tile on the daily board contains a scrambled vocabulary word and a meaning clue. Put the letter tiles in order, then check your answer before the timer expires. You can tap letters on screen or type from a keyboard, which makes the game work equally well as a quick mobile puzzle or a fast desktop challenge.
How to Solve a Tile
Open an available tile and read the meaning clue. Build the word in the answer slots by tapping or typing letters. You can remove the last letter, clear the answer, or shuffle the remaining bank when your eyes get stuck. When every slot is filled, check the word to claim the tile.
- 01Scan for recognisable endings such as -tion, -ment, -ly, or -ed, then place those letters first.
- 02Use the word length and clue to narrow the possible part of speech before arranging every tile.
- 03If the letter order starts to blur together, shuffle the bank or return to the board and try a different tile.
Choose Your Time Pressure
Tiles use different timer lengths. Blue tiles give the most time, yellow tiles sit in the middle, and red tiles are the short sprint. Clearing a few comfortable tiles first helps you settle into the board before taking on the fastest ones.
